REFLECTION

This quarter, I learned the importance of Community-Based Research (CBR) in identifying and solving local issues using technology. I discovered how research methods can be applied to real-life situations, making technology more impactful for the community. In coding, I deepened my understanding of HTML and CSS, including structuring web pages with HTML and styling them with CSS to make them visually appealing. I also explored responsive design, making websites adaptable to different screen sizes.

One challenge I faced in CBR was gathering and analyzing relevant data, as some information was either unavailable or difficult to interpret. In coding, I struggled with debugging errors in my HTML and CSS code, which affected how my web pages looked and functioned. Sometimes, layouts did not appear as expected, or CSS properties didn’t apply correctly.

To overcome these issues in CBR, I improved my research skills by verifying sources and using multiple references. I also sought guidance from my teacher and peers when analyzing data. For *coding challenges*, I practiced troubleshooting by using browser developer tools to inspect and debug my code. I also referred to online resources and tutorials to better understand the concepts.

Moving forward, I will continue to enhance my skills by practicing more HTML and CSS coding and exploring JavaScript to add interactivity to web pages. I will also refine my research abilities by engaging in more community-based research.
